COJF: With the western theme it always seemed like a ridiculous oversight to me in COJ that none of the toons wore a cowboy hat in the multiplayer. Will there be hats in Bound in Blood or any form of character customization?

PK: Each of the 13 classes is represented by a unique model fitting its name and function to make all of them recognizable and fun. There’s no additional customization. Characters don’t wear hats, their faces are an important fact of their distinct look.

COJF: How about horses on multiplayer for death match / skirmish ?

PK: There are horses, but they are used only in Wild West Legends mode.

COJF: Will you be able to use the whip in the multiplayer?

PK: We dropped the whip altogether. Thomas McCall uses a lasso which has some additional functionality compared to the whip but it has no place in multiplayer. It would have to be either underpowered in the hands of one class or more powerful but given to all classes. We didn’t want the matches to dissolve into some sort of platforming fest

COJF: Will the controls stay the same as far as game play go’s and is there going to be a control configuration option?

PK: The controls have been greatly improved when it comes to usability. On the PC controls are fully configurable and the console versions have multiple setups to choose from including the most popular FPS layouts.

COJF: Are there any plans to increase amount of players on multiplayer maps?

PK: No. The limit is based on the overall experience of Wild West weapons (there are 6 bullets in a revolver drum, and it reloads way slower than an M16 clip…) not the hardware efficiency.

COJF: The xbox 360 version of COJ seemed to have been orphaned by lack of patches and updates. There were some significant flaws that were never addressed. An example would be if a player switched sides at the end of a round in a skirmish, a point was given to the team they joined. This essentially ruined many games. If you had a player who would rapidly switch between sides and having the score limit reached prematurely. So, can the 360 players expect better support after launch or will it be what you see is what you get?

PK: We will definitely support all versions after launch and we’re counting on the fans, competitive players and clans to polish the experience even further. That being said, you’ll find that Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a huge improvement over the original game straight out of the box.

COJF: And finally can we expect any DLC after release?

PK: We’re not saying anything definite just now but stay tuned for more information.
